Simple stain

In this procedure, the purpose was to stain our bacteria in order to see it and to practice staining before moving onto gram stains. In order to stain our bacteria, we were told to use the methylene blue dye for at least one minute. After putting the dye onto the slide containing the bacteria and waiting, we then rinsed off the excess stain and blotted it dry with bibulous paper. After the slide was dry, we examined our bacteria under the microscope.
